I heard the Messenger of Allah (saw) say: 'Whoever builds a masjid (mosque) in which the Name of Allah is mentioned, Allah will build a house for him in Paradise.'" (Sahih) Ibn Majah 735
One of the major plagues in today's society is the fact that the Masajid are becoming empty and youngsters are being deprived of any form of spirituality. During the time of the prophet PBUH, the house of Allah was utilised for several reasons; not only praying. Rather, the companions (Sahaba) would gather and socialise on a daily basis, they would interact in learning and teaching. The majority of the companions were of a young age. Furthermore, they would engage in activities such as archery, swimming, horse-riding etc. The youth of today are tempted with several trials such as drugs, fornication, music etc. It is up to us to facilitate a centre for them in which they can learn the Deen and become educated. This is an obligation and a mandatory duty upon everyone to preserve our community and stabilise the future of Islam. Donate as much as you can for the sake of the Deen.
